Define who completes each processing step
A roll and a finished panel have different delivery scopes. For rolls, explain whether cutting, hemming, grommets or repacking will be needed and who will do that work. A product photograph does not establish which processing steps the quotation includes.
For panels, put finished width, length, color, edge treatment and grommet sides on the same specification line. Confirm accessories separately. Hemmed edges and grommets alone do not establish suitability for every fixing point or installation.
Match every size to its quantity
Specify roll width, length per roll and number of rolls. For panels, state the quantity for each finished size. Separate different colors and sizes rather than giving one combined total.
The number of panels cut from a roll depends on the cutting layout, processing allowances and actual roll dimensions. Total area alone is not a confirmed panel yield. If your layout is undecided, list the desired sizes so the supply format can be discussed.
- Rolls: width, length, color and roll count
- Panels: finished width, length, color and piece count
- Processing: hems, grommets, corners and accessories
- Packing: rolls, individual packs or carton arrangements
Include packing and receiving requirements
Explain whether the material is for further processing, wholesale distribution or individual sale. Agree on pack contents and how sizes and colors will be identified. Packed dimensions and weight need measurements for the selected product and packing.
Provide the destination and any requested arrival date, then discuss production and transport separately. Available specifications, minimum quantities, processing charges and delivery timing are confirmed for the actual order.
Start an inquiry even if the format is undecided
Send the application, desired sizes and quantities, who will handle further processing, color and grommet needs, packing and destination. Mark the supply format as 'to discuss' if needed.
Use that information as the starting point. Final parameters, tolerances and delivery scope belong in the approved sample record and written order.
