01

Name the material in the inquiry

If you are sourcing a PE transparent rain cover, say PE in the product line; if you want a PVC transparent rain cover, identify that separately. Ask the supplier to confirm the quoted product and its specification rather than inferring material from a photograph or a short listing title.

Do not assume that PE and PVC versions share the same thickness, weight, flexibility, temperature range or other performance values. Request the technical information that matters to your application for the exact item being quoted.

02

Define the finished panel and edge work

State finished width and length with units, and say whether measurements refer to the completed cover. Describe which edges need finishing, whether reinforced corners are required, and which sides need grommets.

For grommets, specify the measurement reference for spacing and any corner positions on a drawing or sample. Hardware diameter, material and included accessories should be listed separately if they matter to the order.

03

Make samples and packing comparable

When comparing suppliers, use the same material, finished dimensions, edge details and quantity in each request. Keep sample photos or physical samples linked to the written product name and specification so the review refers to the same item.

Confirm how each cover is folded, protected and identified. Packed dimensions and weight must come from the actual approved packing method; a value from a different size or material may not apply.

04

What to verify before approval

Ask for the applicable product specification and any tests required by your market or use. If a requirement cannot yet be confirmed, keep it open in the inquiry instead of converting a visual impression into a material or performance claim.

Final availability, price, order quantity and timing are confirmed for the selected material and order. A transparent appearance in a product image does not by itself establish weather resistance or a service life.
