01

Align the product and price unit

List the product, color and finished dimensions or roll specification. Match the construction and required parameters to that product, with the agreed basis for confirmation. A figure from another product in the same family may not apply.

Check whether pricing is per panel, roll, area or weight. Record the unit, currency and quantity before considering a conversion. Do not invent an assumed weight, processing allowance or price basis to fill a missing value.

02

List the processing and packing included

Equal dimensions can still have different hems, grommet layouts and corner treatment. Confirm the sides to be processed and whether ropes or other accessories are included. Items shown in a photograph are not automatically included in a quote.

Define the contents of one pack, units per bag and carton, and any labeling work. Note who supplies the label content. Record packing differences alongside each quotation before drawing conclusions about the price.

  • Matching product, color and dimensions
  • Price unit, currency and quantities by item
  • Hems, grommets, corners and accessories
  • Individual packs, cartons and labels
  • Transport scope, delivery arrangements and quotation validity
03

Keep delivery scope and open items visible

Ask what costs the price includes, where delivery ends and who handles transport and receiving arrangements. List any unconfirmed sample, packing, transport or other costs as open items. A blank entry does not mean the item is free.

Record production preparation, transit time and requested arrival separately. A requested date is a requirement to discuss until the corresponding order arrangements have been confirmed. Compare timing alongside the other quoted conditions.

04

Compare against the same requirement version

Keep the date and specification version with each quotation. If dimensions, color, quantity or packing change, ask for confirmation against the revised requirements so an old price is not attached to a new scope.

Send the same size, quantity and processing list to each quotation request, asking for packing, delivery scope, validity and open items to be stated. Review the approved sample, written specification, costs and supply arrangements together.
